Ministry Outreach
Bridge International Zambia is involved in several outreach programs currently, and we pray we will be able to do even more in the future.
Isaac Muteba is a young man for whom Bridge is paying ¾ of his expenses to attend classes at the School of Nursing at Ndola Central Hospital. His third and final year will be 2008, with graduation in 2009. When he graduates we have an agreement with him that he will help us in our community clinic in Kasongo. He will be qualified to diagnose, dispense certain medications, deliver babies, and train midwives.
Noble Sikalangwe is a member of our Bridge peripheral staff. We agreed to pay his full tuition and fees to attend Mechanics for Africa, a Christian ministry. He should graduate early in 2008 and be fully qualified as an auto mechanic. He has agreed to continue on with us for at least one year after his graduation.
Constance Faith Miti is a young orphan that Bridge, with the help of outside support, has been able to place in the School for the Blind in Ndola. She will need to continue there for several more years.
In addition to helping these three young people obtain an education, in January 2007 Bridge began setting aside a portion of their income each month to give into other ministries in the area.
To date we have been able to help:
Christian World Outreach – A ministry geared to educating, training, and mentoring those with HIV/AIDS
ISAAC (International) – A global network of pastors and churches spreading the gospel
Seeds of Hope – A ministry helping the needy obtain clean water, as well as teaching on health and sanitation
